Preview for match between Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid - UEFA Champions League:

Atletico Madrid head into this final on the back of clinching their first La Liga title in 18 years. It was the first time in a decade that either Real Madrid or Barcelona has not claimed the Spanish title.

Diego Simeone’s team built their campaign on a rock solid defence, which conceded just 23 goals, the best in the Spanish top-flight. The title victory was a major achievement for Simeone’s team, who have had to live in the shadow of their city-rivals in recent years.

Atletico Madrid will give Diego Costa and Arda Turan every chance to be fit for Saturday's Champions League final against city rivals Real Madrid.

Costa has been treated in Belgrade using horse placenta after tearing a hamstring during last weekend's 1-1 draw with Barcelona .

Turan injured a hip against Barca.

"They trained better yesterday but we will see how they both train here and how they feel. We will decide on what we see," said coach Diego Simeone.

Costa has scored 36 goals this season but Simeone is confident his title-winning squad has enough ability to cope if either man fails to make it.

"They are just names. Both are important players with the team but there are other players who know they will be playing if Diego or Arda don't so we are working in preparation for whatever happens."

Probable Atletico Madrid line-up:
Courtois, Juanfran, Miranda, Godin, Luis Felipe, Turan, Gabi, Tiago, Koke, Adrian, Villa

Real Madrid failed to clinch la Liga title, but it seems as if los Blancos’ priority is the Champions League trophy. Carlo Ancelotti’s men are after their tenth European Cup title and they will surely give their bets to finish the season in a style. Real Madrid have already lifted a trophy in the 2013/2014 campaign as they outplayed Barcelona in Copa del Rey final, but la Decima is something that they have been dreamed about for years. Cristiano Ronaldo is enjoying a very successful season, the Golden Ball award winner, though, has been struggling with injury of late, but he will surely take part in Saturday’s showdown in Lisboa. Los Blancos have already defeated Atletico Madrid this season, but they recorded both victories in the Spanish Cup, with the team struggling to beat Diego Simeone’s men in la Liga. Anyhow, Carlo Ancelotti’s men seem to be closer to winning the prestigious trophy than their bitter city rivals.

Both Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema are likely to be fit for the Champions League final, while Xabi Alonso is definitely out of contention through suspension. Jese Rodriguez remains in the infirmary, while Pepe is a major doubt.

Real is going in search of a 10th title in top-level European competition and Ronaldo knows the pressure is on to deliver La Decima to the supporters.

"It is a moment that all Madridistas are dreaming about: the decima," he said. "We are all very excited, so we have to win. It will be a special game. I will be playing in my home country."

This will be the first meeting between two teams from the same city in the history of European Cup and Champions League finals, and the duo from the Spanish capital have only met on one previous occasion in continental competition.

Probable Real Madrid line-up:
Casillas, Carvajal, Ramos, Pepe, Coentrao, Modric, Di Maria, Khedira, Ronaldo, Bale, Benzema

Bayern Munich vs Real Madrid Preview – Champions League Semifinal Second Leg 2014

Real Madrid are slight favourites to qualify given their advantage from the first leg and with Gareth Bale likely to return the reigning Champions will have to be at their best here. Bayern Munich do not look as powerful as they were last season and as long as Real Madrid can keep their discipline they have a great chance of making the Champion League final.

The Bundesliga Champions have great form at home having won 20 of their last 24 UEFA Champions League home matches. Nevertheless, they have only won one of their last three there. But if we look at past history, they have won five of six ties after losing 1-0 away first.
The players to watch for Bayern Munich will be Mario Mandzukic, Thomas Muller, with Arjen Robben and Claudio Pizarro (who scored two goals last weekend). Pep Guardiola’s men did dominated in the first leg, but they just failed to convert their final chances.

As for Real Madrid, they struggle when on their trips to Germany. The Spanish side went to Germany in last season’s semi final first leg and were beaten by Borussia Dortmund. They went there again in the second leg of this season’s quarter final and lost 2-0 once again to Borussia Dortmund. Their record in Germany currently stands at W2 D6 L19.

Real Madrid have also lost five of their last 23 European away games and four of those have been in Germany. This is the third time they are playing in Germany after having faced Schalke in the round of sixteen, then Dortmund in the quarter- finals. However, their two-legged European ties record against Germany sides is W13 D8.

Barcelona vs Real Madrid Match Preview :

Copa Del Rey’s Attraction:
The Copa Del Rey or the King’s Cup is an annually based football cup competition for the football teams of Spain. It is the oldest Spanish football competition and was found in 1903 for the first time. The winner of the King’s Cup goes to the UEFA Champions League but if the winner also qualifies for the UEFA Champions League then the loosing team of the final goes to the Europa League.

Barcelona Team News:

After Champions League elimination last week, and with title hopes in La Liga seriously dented following the defeat at Granada, Barça’s best chance of finishing the season with a trophy comes tomorrow in the Copa del Rey Final at Mestalla against Real Madrid.
Neither team arrives to the game in the best condition with Barça struggling with defensive injuries and Madrid without Cristiano Ronaldo who scored the only goal of the game in the last Clásico cup final in 2011.

Tata Martino has named 24 players including the doubtful Marc Bartra, Gerard Piqué and Carlos Puyol and the injured Dos Santos and Cuenca for the trip to Valencia. Of all the first team squad players only injured keeper Victor Valdés has remained in Barcelona. Marc Bartra raised hopes that he can make it in time by training today with his team-mates though his participation tomorrow is still doubtful. Gerard Piqué and Carles Puyol both trained apart, Piqué seems to have little chance of playing but Puyol promised to give everything to be able to start.

Real Madrid Team News:

Real Madrid have been known to keep things tight at the back as they have kept clean sheets in all eight of their Copa del Rey matches to date. In the semi-finals they ran out 5-0 aggregate winners over La Liga leaders Atletico Madrid. They will most likely not have Cristiano Ronaldo as he is out with a hamstring injury for this clash. Therefore the responsility to get the goals will fall on Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale.
Last weekend Real Madrid showed they can do without Ronaldo when they beat Almeria 4-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. They will also want to avenge their defeat to Barcelona in the La Liga and their confidence have got better after they got to the semi-finals of the Champions League.

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has a tough decision to make on the participation of Ronaldo, Ronaldo will want to play, he always does but Ancelotti has to consider the consequences should Ronaldo play and aggrevate the injury he would more than likely miss the Champions League Semi final which is Real Madrid's true target this year. Ancelotti has alot of attacking talent at his disposal with Bale, Benzema, Di Maria, Moratta there is more than enough talent to allow Ancelotti to rest his star man.

Borussia Dortmund vs Real Madrid Preview :

Real Madrid took a giant stride towards the Champions League semi-final by winning the first leg of their quarter-final tie 3-0 last week but we all remember that Madrid were hammered 4-1 by a Robert Lewandowski-inspired Dortmund in the semi-final of the competition almost 12 months ago. The Polish striker scored all four goals as the Blancos were swept aside at Signal Iduna Park.
Dortmund warmed up for their crunch clash with Real by beating Wolfsburg 2-1 on Saturday, moving them closer to Champions League football next season. With their key players picking up serious injuries one after another, the Millionaires were unable to mount a serious title challenge in Bundesliga.
Ancelotti's side hammered Real Sociedad 4-0 on Saturday to stay in the hunt for a treble of La Liga. They come from 3 consecutive wins scoring a total of 12 goals during that period and keeping three clean sheets.

Borussia Dortmund Team News:

Bayern Munich bound Robert Lewandowski (21) will likely lead the line along side Aubameyang (16) as the pair have now scored thirty seven goals between them in all competitions.  Coach Jurgen Klopp will be hoping this pair could pull off a miracle on Tuesday night although they failed to bother Real Madrid’s defence too much in the first leg. Manchester United’s reported target Marco Reus is another player in great form for the German side having scored eighteen goals in all competitions this season.

Real Madrid Team News:

Veteran goalkeeper Iker Casillas has been preferred when playing in the Champions League this year having featured in all nine of the competitions games and will more likely lineup again against the Germans for his tenth on Tuesday. Goals are a common thing for this Real Madrid side with Ronaldo the clubs current top scorer with an incredible forty five goals in all competitions!

Possible starting lineups:
Dortmund:
Weidenfeller; Piszczek, Hummels, Papastathopoulos, Durm; Grosskreutz, Jojic, Sahin, Reus; Mkhitaryan, Lewandowski
Madrid:
Casillas; Carvajal, Pepe, Ramos, Coentrao; Modric, Alonso, Illarramendi; Ronaldo, Benzema, Bale

Real Madrid vs Barcelona Match Preview:

Real Madrid

Real Madrid have not been beaten in 18 matches in La Liga and will want that to continue after this match. The last time they tasted defeat was against Barcelona back in October of last year. Since then they have managed 15 wins out of their 18 matches they have been unbeaten. Real Madrid are strong at the back as well as in attack. In their last 11 La Liga games they have kept 8 clean sheets.

Madrid have been installed as favourites to claim La Liga and also to win Sunday's Clasico clash, but Xabi Alonso is wary of Barcelona.

"Barca's players are very good, they know each other extremely well and have been playing together for a long time," the midfielder said.

"These matches are always intense and, historically, the two teams are always fighting it out for the biggest titles. There is maximum tension and the games are highly competitive."

And he added: "A win for us would be the best possible news - hopefully having played well and enjoyed ourselves too."

Team News:

Alvaro Arbeloa, Sami Khedira and Jese Rodriguez are all miss the Real Madrid game with injuries, Sergio Ramos returns from suspension, whilst Karim Benzema has totally overcome his minor injury.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Lopez – Carvajal, Pepe, Ramos, Marcelo – Alonso, Modric, Di Maria – Bale, Ronaldo, Benzema.

Barcelona

Barcelona is in an uncomfortable situation but for that can blame only itself, because it had eight points more than Real but now has four points less and still has to go through the hellish atmosphere at the Santiago Bernabeu. There were many mistakes, mostly away, as only Valencia surprised it is at the Camp Nou. Basque country has cost it dearly as it lost to Real Sociedad and Athletic, and it drew with Osasuna in Pamplona. All that had spiced up the defeat in Valladolid two rounds ago when it hasn’t scored a goal, which was especially painful for the most efficient team of the league

but then in the last round Barcelona did restored confidence with a 7-0 win over Osasuna last weekend. In that game, Lionel Messie scored a hat-trick. That result came after the clash with Manchester City which saw them running in circles and failing to exert their dominance on the match in the Champions League. The player to watch out here will be Lionel Messi as he is their top scorer in the side.

Andres Iniesta said "We have had to go there and win to claim La Liga in other years, so if we want to repeat that this year we'll need to do the same. We'll have to play the perfect match."

And he added: "There cannot be any negative thought or doubt - what we want is to win and to put pressure on the leaders."

Team News:

Isaac Cuenca and Jonathan dos Santos remain on the sidelines. Carles Puyol is doubtful for the match, but Gerardo Martino has no other fresh injury worries ahead of the derby.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3):
Valdes – Dani Alves, Pique, Masherano, Alba – Busquets, Xavi, Iniesta – Pedro, Messi, Sanchez.

Chelsea FC vs Galatasaray | UEFA Champions League Preview, March 18, 2014

Chelsea FC vs Galatasaray | UEFA Champions League 2014
Chelsea and Galatasaray will fight for a quarter-final place after the first match in Istanbul finished with a 1:1 draw. Chelsea took lead in the 9th minute with Fernando Torres goal and Galatasaray equalized in 65th minute through Chedjou Aurelien.

Match info :
Date: March 18, 2014
KICK-OFF: tuesday, 7:45 PM GMT
Venue: Stamford Bridge — London

Competition: UEFA Champions league 2013-14

Chelsea managed to secure a very important 1-1 draw over in Turkey at the end of February and having scored an important away goal in that game, Jose Mourinho’s players look destined to qualify for the next round of the competition, where they could be the only English club left in the competition unless Manchester United can turn around a 2-0 defeat in wednesday night’s live game.

Meanwhile, Galatsaray did not have their best moment at home two weeks ago so it would be a surprise if they can raise their game here. The Turkish side travelled to England on eight previous occasions and didn’t come away with a win from any of them. And five of those trips have ended in defeats as well. Looking at their away form, it is not too good, they have failed to win in their last four away games from home with a D1 L3 record. Their last away victory was in the second leg of last season’s round of sixteen, beating Schalke 3-2.

Chelsea Team News:

the Blues have experienced a shock in the championship last weekend, since they were defeated with 1-0 away at Aston Villa, with the fact that they ended the match without suspended Willian and Ramires. In this way, their advantage over Liverpool and Arsenal has now reduced to just four points, while Manchester City is still in the game for the title, because they have six points behind and three games less. However, their main priority is this match in the Champions League, so we expect that Mourinho will send a very strong team to the field, while he still cannot count on the injured midfielder van Ginkel and striker Eto’o, as well as two suspended newcomers Matic and Salah.

Galatasaray Team News:

The midfielder Aydın Yılmaz will miss the match due to an ankle injury. The defenders Aurelien Chedjou (groin), Gokhan Zan (hamstring) and Hakan Balta (thigh), as so the midfielder Hamit Altıntop (back) are doubtful in ftont of this match due to injuries.

Galatasaray v Chelsea 26.02.14 | Champions League Update 2014

TEAM NEWS:

Galatasaray are likely to be without Aurelien Chedjou as the Cameroonian defender has missed Gala's past four games with a groin injury. However, the Turkish club are boosted by the return of Aydin Yilmaz and Gokhan Zan. Didier Drogba and Wesley Sneijder both enjoyed great success under Jose Mourinho and will be looking to get one over their former boss.

Chelsea welcome back defender David Luiz and midfielder John Obi Mikel for Wednesday's Champions League last-16 first-leg tie at Galatasaray.
The pair missed Saturday's 1-0 win against Everton through injury but have travelled with the Blues to Istanbul.
Brazilian playmaker Oscar is also part of the squad, despite being substituted at the weekend with an ankle injury.
January signings Nemanja Matic and Mohamed Salah are cup-tied, having played earlier in the competition.

PROBABLE LINEUPS:

Galatasaray : Muslera, Zan, Balta, Chedjou, Telles, Innan, Melo, Sari, Sneijder, Drogba, Yilmaz

Chelsea : Cech, Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Azpilicueta, Ramires, Luiz, Hazard, Oscar, Willian, Torres

 FC Schalke 04:
The FC Schalke 04 host Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday evening. Real arrive as clear favourites in Gelsenkirchen, but Schalke performed well the recent weeks and have nothing to lose in this encounter.

The FC Schalke made a very good start to the new year, Schalke are unbeaten in their last 8 games in all competitions, including all 5 games since returning from the winter break which will give them confidence ahead of this game. They are unbeaten in 5 games at home, but saw their 4 game winning run come to an end this weekend when they could only earn a goalless draw with Mainz.

The German team have a number of injury worries ahead of the welcome of Real, with Marco Höger, Dennis Aogo, Atsuto Uchida and Christian Clemens all sidelined. Draxler, who garnered transfer interest from Arsenal and Real, is also hobbled by a thigh injury, but he should play

Real Madrid:

The Spanish giants travel to the Veltins Arena for the first-leg of their last 16 tie with Schalke having won just one of their previous 25 visits to German opposition, with their solitary victory coming against Bayer Leverkusen in 2000.

However, Carlo Ancelotti's in-form side should be confident going into the clash in Gelsenkirchen, having moved three points clear at the top of La Liga last weekend.

Real Madrid are now unbeaten in their last 26 games in all competitions and they have won 5 in a row and 13 of their last 14 games which will give the side plenty of confidence and belief moving forward. Real Madrid are also unbeaten in their last 14 away games and have won 7 of their last 8 on their travels.

Sami Khedira is Carlo Ancelotti's only injury concern, while Gareth Bale and Luka Modric are both doubts. Marcelo and Fabio Coentrao are likely to be in contention for starting places after they missed the weekend’s triumph over Elche.

Arsenal vs Bayern Munich February 19, 2014, UEFA Champions League Preview

Arsenal Vs Bayern Munich is an upcoming game of Champions league for round of 16. This is the first leg of both teams of this round which will takes place on The Emirates stadium.

Arsenal Team News:

Arsenal plays host to Bayern Munich, and having come off a revenge filled win over Liverpool, they will be determined to repeat their results against this German Squad.

The Gunners were knocked out by Bayern at the same stage of the competition last season despite a 2-0 win in Munich – one of just three losses the German giants suffered in 2013.

But Arsenal – who won four matches to finish second in Group F - have not lost at home in their last 13 games and defender Per Mertesacker is confident of another positive result.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger said: "Football is not a chess game, it belongs to the players. When the game starts, it's (about) the right decisions on the pitch.

"We as managers prepare the team to do well, we take responsibilities when it doesn't go well, but don't forget the main heroes are out on the pitch, not on the bench.

"They play a bit higher up as a unit (since winning the Champions League last season), but overall they have the same players. Schweinsteiger is coming back and he has been replaced by Thiago, who is a Spanish-type player, but overall the players are the same."

Santi Cazorla, Olivier Giroud, Kieran Gibbs, Wojciech Szczesny and Bacary Sagna will all return to the starting lineup.
Tomas Rosicky could play on the right, while Jack Wilshere could play in central midfield with Mikel Arteta suspended.

Bayern Munich Team News:

Bayern Munich is 19-2-0 in the Bundesliga so far with a goal difference of 57-9. Simply amazing stats! If possible the team seems improved compared to last season when they won everything. In the calendar year of 2013 they played two English clubs, Arsenal and Man City. They won both those games away from home. They did however lose against both clubs when at home.

Xherdan Shaqiri tore his hamstring on Saturday and will miss out, while fellow winger Franck Ribery is ruled out after undergoing buttock surgery.

But two substitute appearances look to have put Bastian Schweinsteiger back in first-team contention as his comeback from an ankle injury continues.

Bayer 04 Leverkusen vs Paris Saint-Germain 18/02/2014 | UEFA Champions League Preview

Leverkusen vs PSG, UEFA Champions League Preview

Date: February 18, 2014 7:45 PM GMT

KICK-OFF: Tuesday, 7.45pm

Venue: BayArena — Leverkusen

Referee:‬ V. Kassai

Competition: UEFA Champions league 2013-14

PAST MEETINGS:
The two sides have never meet in a competitive match.

TV: on Sky Sports 1, beIN SPORTS 2, beIN SPORTS 5, beIN SPORTS HD 2, beIN SPORTS HD 5

Bayer Leverkusen:

Bayer Leverkusen play host to Paris Saint Germain in the Round of 16 of the Champions League.

In 2002, Bayer Leverkusen reached the final of the Champions League at Hampden Park, where they were eventually defeated by Real Madrid.

Since then, the German club have never gone beyond the last 16 of the competition, although they have an opportunity to end that 12-year wait with a two-legged contest against Paris Saint-Germain, the first of which will take place at the BayArena on Tuesday night.

Leverkusen come into the match having lost five of their last seven games, including a shock home defeat by second-division side Kaiserslautern in the German Cup quarter-finals on Wednesday.

Leverkusen, meanwhile, will be without midfielder Emre Can due to suspension, while Stefan Reinartz (foot) is a doubt. Strikers Eren Derdiyok (foot) and Robbie Kruse (knee) also miss out through injury.

"I'm very happy with the way my team played [against Schalke]. It was very different from Wednesday's game," said former Liverpool player and current Leverkusen coach Sami Hyypia.

"The lads showed a lot of character. We can get a result on Tuesday if we play like that."

Paris Saint-Germain:

Paris Saint-Germain reached the quarter-finals of last season's Champions League under the guidance of Carlo Ancelotti and look to be among the contenders this term as they prepare to face Bayer Leverkusen, PSG have lost three of their six meetings with clubs from the Bundesliga.

Paris Saint-Germain have only lost 1 of their last 13 games in all competitions since the 2-1 loss at Benfica, while they are unbeaten in their last 7 games on their travels. The side have drawn 2 of their last 3 away games including 1-1 at Monaco in their most recent game away from the Parc de Princes, but they have won the other 5 games on this 7 game unbeaten run.

PSG, they have been dealt a blow with the news that Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani will miss the trip with a hamstring injury that he picked up earlier this month.

Laurent Blanc nevertheless has a strong squad to choose from, and they will be boosted by a 3-0 win over Valenciennes at the weekend which preserved their five-point lead at the top of Ligue 1.

"When you win 3-0, you can only congratulate your players," said Blanc.

"Although in truth, I think they've had their minds on Leverkusen for quite a while now.

"We were able to make some changes in order to prepare for Tuesday's Champions League game so that's good."

Blanc will be able to follow the game from the touchline after a one-match ban was suspended by UEFA last week.

Match Preview: Manchester City vs. Barcelona - UEFA Champions League - Round of 16 - Tuesday, 18/02/2014

After a long wait, the UEFA champions league is back with its next round i.e. Round of 16. In the first game of this round, Manchester City will host Barcelona at the Etihad Stadium.  on Tuesday, February 18th, 2014.  No matter what is their performance in domestic league, this is the toughest head to head of both teams & especially when they are facing each other in world’s biggest football league.

Manchester City most recently beat Chelsea 2-0 in the FA Cup, after losing to them 0-1 at home in the league the week before. Samir Nasri and Alvaro Negredo, who were out with injuries for some time, made a return to the lineup in the last game. They are most welcome back, as the team struggled in their absence. Stevan Jovetic, who has been out for most of the current season, started the last game, played well and scored a sweet goal. This is good news for City, as their star striker, Sergio Aguero, is still out with injury. Manchester City are very much in contention for four trophies this season and have, for the most part, been a powerhouse, especially at home. This is the club’s first ever UEFA Champions League knockout stage and they earned it by finishing second in Group D, behind Bayern and ahead of Plzen and CSKA. And despite this fact, City were able to beat the German champions and finish on 15 points - two more than Barca gained in Group H.

Barcelona are in great form at the moment. They just trashed Rayo Vallecano 6-0 in the league. Mid-week, Barca earned their spot in the Copa del Rey final by eliminating Real Sociedad, while a few days earlier, they beat Sevilla 4-1 in the league. Messi scored two goals in the last game and Neymar added a last minute beauty. Barcelona are at the top of the Spanish La Liga tables, in the finals of the Spanish cup and they are coming out as the number one team from Group H, which also featured Milan, Ajax and Celtic. Messi is in form. Neymar is back. Even Puyol started the last game. Barcelona are playing well and looking good!
